Honks of support and antagonistic jeers both found their way to protesters outside of Milford Township's Coyotes Show Club on Friday July 11.But the protesters are hoping that there will be a ray of light in their yearlong battle that began on July 10, 2007 when Barnett Food Group, LLC, the parent company to Coyotes, applied for a permit to operate the now functioning adult entertainment club.

The protesters, belonging to a group called The King's Men, are hoping that the Bucks County Sheriff Sale on the property scheduled for August 8 goes through.

The building owners, DMMW, Inc., who lease to Coyotes, currently have a $68,909.90 lien against the building from Emmaus based E.L. Reppert, INC.

The building owners have until the date of the sale to pay the money.

Coyotes had no comment on the situation during the protest other than the ideology that both the club and the protesters were in their rights, said a worker at the door who declined to give his name but identified himself as being in charge.

"They have their right to do anything just like we have our right to do this. That's it," he said.

The King's Men, a Christian group operating in the greater Philadelphia area, seemed optimistic that their protests were having an effect against the business.

"It is designed to raise awareness and give the community a voice," Mark Houck, president of The King's Men, said outside the club last Friday.

"We'll be here as long as it takes," said Houck, who said that his group continually protests Adult World in Montgomeryville that has been there for decades.

But Houck said that if the legal battle dies down and the club is granted their liquor license, the club not making headlines and the lack of a buzz around it making for much harder time in rallying protests.

"This place is hurting our community and hurting women when it turns them into sex objects," said Damian Wargo, one of the founding members of The King's Men, "We need to be here, and we can shut this place down."

"It destroys families. It is dragging down family life in America the family is under major attack."

"Under Christ the King's universal call to serve, we as men, pledge to unite and build up other men in the mold of leader, protector, and provider through education, formation and action," reads the mission of The King's Men on their website, www.thekingsmen.us.
